How to use this site

This site has been designed as an easy to use reference tool. It’s full of information, advice, tips and guides on setting up and running a new business.
You’ll see that it has three main sections: Think, Create and Grow. You can work through these sections for information on deciding to start a business, how to get your business up and running, and for help on growing your business.
You’ll also notice a section called My Briefcase – this is where you can save your choice of guides, pages and tools for easy future reference. It also contains a handy checklist that covers the key steps to setting up your business.

1. Think about setting up – making the decision to start a business, and choosing your industry. Plus first hand advice from other start-ups.
2. Create your new business – what’s involved and what you need to do, plus tools to help.
3. Grow your business – advice on funding for expansion, and how to handle a planned exit.
